Alternative Thinking

1. Write an additional chapter to the book. 400 words.
2. LETTER WRITING: a) Write an INFORMAL letter from Leslie to Jess telling him about their new found imaginary land and how they will be able to create a new place there. b) Write a FORMAL letter from Jesse to Leslie's parents expressing his grief over their daughter's death and also about them being good friends.
3. In pairs write one of the chapters as a script. Present it to the class using props and costumes.
4. Design your own fantasy land. Include pictures, images, landmarks, descriptions etc. Make it colourful and interesting. Present your fantasy land to the class.
5. Create a web page for the book where you include orientation, complication and resolution. (This will involve library lessons teaching you how to create a web page.
